Travis Ford, co-founder of investment company Wolf Capital, has pleaded guilty to operating a fraudulent scheme that victimized 2,800 investors. Authorities report that he raised $9.4 million by promising extremely high returns to clients.

The 35-year-old Oklahoma resident “solicited investments through the Wolf Capital website and various promotional activities on social media and the internet.”

“Ford portrayed himself as an experienced trader capable of generating daily profits of 1–2% (approximately 547% monthly),” according to a statement on the U.S. Department of Justice website.

Investigators say the scheme ran from January to August 2023. Ford allegedly misused investor funds for personal gain and to enrich co-conspirators while making false promises about profits.

The Wolf Capital co-founder now faces up to five years in prison.
