During an AMA session, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared his disappointments with the blockchain ecosystem, highlighting shifts in the community’s values over the past year.

He expressed frustration over comparisons between Ethereum and more “open” networks that accept any projects, including those related to gambling. In his view, such criticism reflects a “distorted morality” and makes him feel distanced from the industry.

However, Buterin noted that in personal conversations, many users still uphold Ethereum’s original principles, which motivates him to continue his work.

He also stated that the Ethereum Foundation might need to take a more active role in supporting certain initiatives. Despite his concerns, he reaffirmed his commitment to the community and its shared mission.
