On March 2, armed robbers broke into the home of popular OnlyFans model Amouranth (Kaitlyn Siragusa) and demanded access to her digital assets.

In November 2024, the star posted a screenshot of her Coinbase account, showing a balance of 211 BTC (then worth over $20 million) and 22.9 ETH (~$79,450).

On March 3, Amouranth shared a video, presumably from a security camera, showing the attackers following her into another part of the house.

Seconds later, three gunshots can be heard, after which the robbers flee. Amouranth stated that she managed to shoot one of the intruders.

The attack is believed to be linked to the rise of “crypto wrench” crimes, where criminals use physical threats to force victims to transfer digital assets.

A Cointelegraph contributor, known as Dr. Anon, noted that such crimes are often carried out by organized and professional groups. To reduce risk, he recommends keeping a “decoy” wallet with a small amount of crypto.

In July 2024, a foreign national was murdered in Kyiv in an attempt to steal his cryptocurrency worth over $170,000.

On January 21, unknown assailants kidnapped Ledger co-founder David Balland and his wife, demanding a €10 million ransom in crypto.
