Strategy Makes Smallest Bitcoin Purchase in Company History

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has announced the acquisition of 130 BTC for $10.7 million, marking the smallest purchase in the company’s history.

The purchase price per Bitcoin was $82,981.

This acquisition was funded through an ATM program, which aims to raise up to $21 billion for further investments in digital gold.

With this latest purchase, Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings have reached 499,226 BTC, acquired for a total of $33.1 billion at an average price of $66,360 per coin.

Following the market open on March 17, the company’s stock (MSTR) dropped 2.60% to $289.7, according to MarketWatch.

Previously, on February 24, Strategy acquired 20,356 BTC for $1.99 billion at an average price of $97,514 per Bitcoin.
