Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has obtained a license from the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of Kazakhstan’s Astana International Financial Center (DATF), enabling the company to operate a cryptocurrency trading and exchange platform. The license also includes the ability to offer brokerage and custodial services to users.
Binance CEO Richard Teng thanked the Kazakh authorities for supporting financial innovations, calling the license an important step for Binance and the crypto industry as a whole. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is the first country in Central Asia to grant such a license to the company.
Importance of the License and Prospects for Binance
The DATF license strengthens Binance’s position in the region and opens new opportunities for the development of cryptocurrency services on the international stage. Kazakhstan is actively developing regulations for digital assets, and obtaining a license in the country signifies trust in the platform and recognition of the importance of crypto innovations for economic growth.
For Binance, this is not only an expansion of services into new markets but also an opportunity to enhance user trust through regulation and adherence to security standards.
