On November 3, Metawin crypto casino was attacked, during which hackers stole over $4 million from the platform’s wallets on Ethereum and Solana, as reported by blockchain researcher ZachXBT citing Metawin CEO Richard Skelhorn’s statement on Discord.

For security reasons, the project temporarily suspended withdrawals to assess the situation and ensure the stability of its systems. Currently, the platform is fully operational and functioning as usual.

Skelhorn assured users that the company would implement additional measures to enhance security, especially for new users.

“Today we went through a tough trial, but gained valuable insights and will only come out stronger. Apologies for the brief pause, everything will return to normal within an hour.”

The stolen assets were transferred to exchanges KuCoin and HitBTC, as reported by ZachXBT. Skelhorn took responsibility for compensating the losses from his personal funds and reported the case to the police.

It’s worth recalling that in October, crypto projects incurred losses totaling $88 million due to 20 attacks on various platforms.
