Hoskinson suggested considering the integration of the Midnight sidechain, which focuses on privacy, as well as launching the regulated stablecoin RLUSD on the blockchain he oversees. As of October, the cumulative issuance volume of the token during its beta testing reached ~$47.4 million, with ~$34.8 million on XRPL and ~$12.6 million on Ethereum.

The conflict between Hoskinson and the XRP community arose over a conspiracy theory suggesting that the Ethereum team allegedly encouraged the SEC to attack Ripple. This is believed to have led to years of legal battles with the company. Hoskinson, as a co-founder of Ethereum, rejects this claim and condemned the Ripple team for failing to warn XRP enthusiasts about spreading such theories.
Back in May, Hoskinson questioned whether he should apologize to his opponents after the long-standing dispute. According to the developer, members of the XRP community distorted his comments, publicly harassed him, and even called for the imprisonment of the Cardano founder for alleged corruption.
It is worth recalling that in September, Hoskinson referred to Ethereum as the dictatorship of Vitalik Buterin.
Earlier, Hoskinson also suggested the possibility of Bitcoin losing its market position.
