European tech company Metavisio has unveiled plans to create the first Web3 laptop equipped with a cold storage wallet. The project will be handled by its subsidiary, Thomson Computing, according to Decrypt.
While the laptop’s name and specifications are yet to be disclosed, it is confirmed that the device will feature a Secure Enclave hardware key manager, similar to the technology used by Apple. This solution isolates cryptographic keys from the main processor, providing an additional layer of security.
Three Models Planned
The developers plan to launch three versions of the laptop targeting educational users, gamers, and general consumers. The expected price range spans from €499 ($523) to €2000 ($2100).
Web3 OS and Integrated Wallet
Metavisio aims to introduce its proprietary Web3 OS by Q1 2025, with a prototype of the laptop to follow. The device will feature a built-in cold wallet supporting Bitcoin, XRP, Bittensor, and EVM-compatible networks.
Additionally, the company plans to release its own token, which users can earn by completing tasks within integrated dapps. Further details on the airdrop are yet to be revealed.
