BitcoinOS Launches Grail Bridge for Exchange Between Bitcoin and Cardano

The BitcoinOS (BOS) protocol has announced the launch of the Grail cross-chain bridge for the Cardano network, enabling users to freely transfer Bitcoin and ADA between the two ecosystems.

The Grail bridge uses a ZK-proof system to ensure the security and privacy of transactions between the blockchains.

“To secure funds in these bridges, only one honest participant out of hundreds of operators working in a decentralized pool is needed,” explained the BitcoinOS developers.

With the launch of Grail, Cardano has become the first major L1 blockchain connected to the BOS infrastructure. To enhance the liquidity of the bridge, the project has also partnered with Emurgo, which develops the Cardano ecosystem. According to the team, this collaboration provides the “perfect connection” between Bitcoin and other assets.

BOS emphasized that the project will strengthen both networks by improving access to liquidity and transaction capabilities.

Earlier, BitcoinOS successfully verified its first transaction based on ZK-proofs on the Bitcoin network, advancing zero-knowledge technology in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

It’s worth noting that in August, the BNB Chain blockchain, supported by Binance, launched a similar cross-chain solution in partnership with Celer, deBridge, and Stargate.
