A streamer on the Pump.fun platform threatened to take his own life if his token didn’t reach a specific market capitalization. This was reported by Pudgy Penguins security manager Beau.

Hey @pumpdotfun there is currently someone using your livestreams to threaten to hang themselves if the coin does not reach a set marketcap.

Absolutely heinous and It needs to come down + see if you can get them help.

“[This is] absolutely disgusting and needs to be stopped. We should figure out how to help this individual. Shut down the live-streaming function. This is out of control,” Beau wrote.

He later highlighted another case where a streamer threatened a school shooting during a live broadcast.

The problematic content on Pump.fun isn’t limited to these examples. In attempts to influence token prices, streamers have locked themselves in dog cages, fired guns out of windows, and threatened the lives of family members.

The community criticized Pump.fun’s moderation approach and urged the platform to disable live streaming to prevent similar incidents and avoid regulatory scrutiny.

“[This situation] started with blatant racism and will end with deaths, and Pump.fun will be held accountable,” commented one X user.

Responding to similar criticism earlier, Pump.fun CEO, known by the pseudonym alon, stated that the team is actively working to remove such content.

“Let me clarify: we actively moderate illegal content on the site, including images, videos, live streams, and comments. We have a large team of moderators working around the clock, and an internal team of engineers handling the increased volume of coins, streams, and comments,” he explained.

The CEO admitted that their efforts are not perfect and encouraged users to report problematic tokens.

As of this writing, the platform has not announced any changes to its moderation policies or live-streaming functionality.
