PeckShield: Crypto Projects Lost $88 Million in October Due to 20 Attacks

In October, hacker attacks on crypto projects caused an industry loss of approximately $88.47 million, according to data from PeckShield.

Among the most significant incidents of the month:

  • The hack of the lending protocol Radiant Capital, amounting to $53 million;
  • An attack on the US government wallet, resulting in a $20 million loss (the funds were returned);
  • Damage to the EigenLayer restaking protocol totaled $5.7 million;
  • Tapioca Foundation lost $4.7 million;
  • Sunray Finance incurred a loss of $2.86 million.

These losses are significantly lower than the previous month, when the total losses reached $120.23 million.

Earlier, experts from Immunefi estimated the damage from attacks on cryptocurrency companies in October at $55.1 million.
