With the new SPACE ID Web3 Domain Snap service, users can replace traditional 42-character wallet public addresses with simple and customizable domain names. This makes the process of sending cryptocurrency easier and more secure.
“Instead of a complex sequence of letters and numbers, SPACE ID users will simply enter a name to send assets,” reads the announcement.
The integration supports all EVM-compatible networks, and activating the feature is as simple as adding it through MetaMask Snaps modular extensions.
MetaMask product lead, Christian Montoya, stated that the collaboration with SPACE ID will make cryptocurrency transactions simpler and safer.
SPACE ID already has partnerships with Binance Web3 Wallet, OKX Wallet, and SafePal.
It is worth noting that in July, MetaMask, which is owned by ConsenSys, acquired Wallet Guard to enhance wallet security, and previously added the “smart transactions” feature to protect against MEV bots.
