With the leadership change at the SEC, many cryptocurrency companies are expected to list their shares on the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq, according to Galaxy Digital founder and CEO Mike Novogratz, as reported by Blockworks.

He estimates that this shift will take place in May or June 2025, with Galaxy Digital itself planning to go public.

Novogratz shared details about attending a ball hosted by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, where notable figures such as Peter Thiel, Mark Zuckerberg, and around 20 CEOs from various crypto companies were present. He expressed optimism about the industry’s prospects under the new presidential administration.

“I think [Bitcoin] will be on the government’s balance sheet within six months,” Novogratz stated, adding that the leading cryptocurrency has cemented its role as a store of value.

He believes that a U.S. government Bitcoin purchase would attract additional investments from major sovereign wealth funds.

While acknowledging the possibility of Bitcoin price fluctuations, the Galaxy Digital CEO sees no cause for concern.

“This doesn’t devalue the space at all. Honestly, it’s a buying opportunity,” Novogratz concluded.

Pantera Capital founder Dan Morehead also joined the discussion, dismissing claims of a crypto market bubble.

“How can there be a bubble when nobody owns it? The median institutional investment in [blockchain] is zero,” he argued.

Based on discussions with various institutions, Morehead expects that in 2025, a portion of the $500 trillion in global assets will flow into cryptocurrencies.

In early February, reports surfaced that crypto exchange Gemini is considering an IPO in 2025. No final decision has been made, and the company remains in negotiations.

Similarly, Bullish Global, a platform associated with Peter Thiel, is exploring a public listing.

Previously, Mike Novogratz predicted that Bitcoin could reach $500,000 if the U.S. adds it to its strategic reserves.
