The Open Network (TON) has integrated with the interoperability protocol LayerZero to enable cross-chain transactions between Ethereum, Tron, Solana, and over 100 other blockchains in the future, according to The Block.

The partnership aims to address the issue of “limited liquidity” by providing seamless access to major crypto projects.

“TON is now capable of ensuring sustainable liquidity and increasing the accessibility of its ecosystem, paving the way for mass adoption,” the press release states.

Key partners utilizing LayerZero infrastructure on the TON blockchain include Tether, Ethena, and the cross-chain bridge Stargate.

TON Foundation COO Max Persovsky called the integration a significant step toward unifying ecosystems and enhancing interoperability in the crypto space. He emphasized that developers now have “all the necessary tools to build decentralized applications designed for a truly global audience.”

According to CoinDesk, TON will initially connect 12 popular blockchains, allowing users to transfer stablecoins between ecosystems via Stargate.
