A large mining farm was discovered in the Dagestani village of Khadzhalmakhi, located on the site of a former canning factory. According to the Acting Director of “Dagenergo,” Arsen Gadzhiev, 89 devices were illegally connected to the power grid at the facility. These miners operated around the clock, overloading the infrastructure.
The preliminary damage from their activities is estimated at several million rubles. Specialists are still calculating the total damage and preparing materials for transfer to law enforcement.
It is worth noting that, according to the Ministry of Energy, the ban on mining in Russia has led to a reduction in electricity consumption by 300 MW.
