Crypto exchange Binance has integrated Apple Pay and Google Pay through a partnership with payment provider Worldpay.

Users can now purchase cryptocurrency using bank cards linked to contactless payment services.

The integration simplifies the fiat-to-crypto transition — users no longer need to manually enter payment details. Purchases are available through the Binance app and the platform’s website.

Fiat channels are essential for attracting new users to the Web3 ecosystem, the company noted in its blog. In 2024, Binance expanded its fiat coverage to 125 currencies and added around 1,000 payment methods.

The exchange also launched several local solutions, including mobile money services in countries across West and Central Africa.

According to Binance, more than 60% of fiat and P2P service users in 2024 made repeat transactions.

The exchange stated that the integration of Apple Pay and Google Pay will help onboard new users, especially in regions where bank card penetration is low but mobile payments are widespread.

As a reminder, on March 18 Binance launched the second version of its Alpha platform for early-stage crypto projects.
