Brazil’s state-owned postal service, Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos, is set to implement blockchain and AI-based solutions, according to an official blog post.
“We aim to foster a collaborative and dynamic process for finding AI and blockchain solutions for our business, operations, and contract-related tasks,” the postal service stated.
The modernization effort includes optimizing the postal address database, developing a digital identity system, and launching a loyalty program. Improvements are also planned for logistics and hiring processes.
The postal service has opened a preliminary selection process for companies and specialists with relevant expertise. Participants will engage in structured discussions to explore different approaches and collaboratively develop effective and reliable solutions based on the specified requirements.
As a reminder, in January, Brazilian authorities blocked payments by the World project (formerly Worldcoin) for collecting biometric data.
